01.03.20 - How to: Market on Social Media

Hey guys. Today is a really fun topic! We get to discuss social media marketing. Social media is a major part of everyday life for most people anymore. It is such a great place to advertise and to make your own page. I have a few tips below that I want to share with you guys!

Here are a few tips that I found on Influencer Marketing Hub that should help when starting social media marketing!

#1 - Decide Who to Target
Just like any other kind of marketing you want a target market. Know who you are going after and focus on them.

#2 - Plan the Types of Content
Make sure what you have is balanced. You do not want to be over saturating yourselves. Make it tasteful and on a good routine.

#3 - Pick the Right Networks
Pick the platform that your target market uses most. If you are going for an older age range than twitter might not be the best place. Go to the place that your target market spends the most time on.

#4 - Look into Your Competition
Being able to find their gaps means that you can do more than they can. Find out what their weaknesses are and capitalize on it.

#5 - Set Up a Proper Account
Make sure what you post is consistent and that at theme is evident. You do not want it to look jumbled if someone clicks on your profile. The way it looks is very important.

#6 -  Set Up a Content Calendar
Find an algorithm to find the best times to schedule a post. There are several sites you can use to schedule when you want a post to be posted.

#7 - Promote your Social Channels
Make sure that people are able to see your content. You want to build up your platform and promote yourself, especially if you ware on different platforms!

A business that I think does a great job with social media marketing is Clothe Boutique. They are based out of Springfield, MO and really know how to make the most of social media. on Instagram. Above is what their bio looks like. Once you get into their posts they do a really great job of showing what retail thy have. Within those posts you can see how much each product is and buy it either right there, or it will take you to their website. They give a really easy way to go about shopping right on the social media platform their target audience already is.

I hope you guys enjoyed today's post. I highly suggest checking out Clothe for any cute clothes and just to see how they run their social media! Thanks as always for reading and feel free to comment below!

  1. Great post Mollie, I knowing your target is major asset to your company so you're not wasting money on people that won't buy your brand. You could use that money on other campaign ideas.
