01.07.20 - How To Create Videos on Social Media

Hey guys! Today's topic is a really fun one. We are going to go over tips for making videos on social media. Almost everyone is on social media anymore. There is no better place to market, but there are so many different forms you can take. Videos are just one way and personally I think they are really creative and a super cool way to draw people in!
Lyfe Marketing gives several tips for small businesses and social media video marketing. I am going to try to hit on a few of those for you guys today! Of course if you want more detail please check out their site. It is super resourceful!
Tip # 1 - Post Directly to the Site
No one wants to take a link to another site when you post a video, especially with Facebook. Make sure your video is compatible for whatever social media outlet you choose to use and that it stays on that site instead of transferring someone to another platform. These start playing automatically and are easier to draw in viewers.
Tip # 2 - Keep it Short
No one wants to watch a 5 minute video, they will scroll right past it. Keep them short, but useful. Make sure that it keeps the point you want to cover, but doesn't bore someone out in the process.
Tip # 3 - The First 10
The first 10 seconds matter. That is when people either decide to keep watching or scroll on. Make sure the 10 seconds capture them and keeps them from scrolling on.
Tip # 4 - Tell A Story
Like yesterday's blog, storytelling is powerful. Being engaging is important and storytelling is a great way to capture attention.
Tip # 5 - Utilize the Live Feature
This allows you to show what is happening in real time. People love live videos. Sometimes you can even get notifications that someone is going live and it draws people in. Going live is a creative way, and gives off a personal aspect too!
As always I hope you enjoyed your read. Feel free to leave a comment or check out my other blogs! Enjoy your Tuesday!

I totally agree that your video posts should be short and sweet! Good post, but I wasn't able to see all the information on it because of the 'popular posts' covering up much of the left side of the screen.
